Classic period styling with updated technology functionality
If you're a purist Brit Bike nut there's nothing like the lines of dual AMAL carbs strattling the head intakes. These bad boys are the cherry on the top of my 72 Commando Roadster rebuild. The upgrades to the float, needle etc. help bring these into the 21st century without losing any retro authentic look. Out of the box they are a stunning piece of craftsmanship. Once set up and properly tuned and dialed in they deliver smooth controlled mixture allowing the Commando to deliver it's power as the Superbike it was originally designed as. They are not an inexpensive carburetor but like the saying goes...These premiers will be going on the 2 Triumph Bonnevilles that are next in line for restoration. Impressively classic.

New Amals use to be good.
Amal’s quality control is lacking on the standard carbs. I think they’re promoting the premier line. Vintage triumph supply was very helpful.
