Your truck is only as good as its weakest link....
You can buy cheaper center bearings like I didi four years ago. My Toyota original lasted 16 years. The generic brand replacement put in in 2017 lasted about 4 years. Less really as in needed replace again long before I did a few days ago. A comparison of the OEM Toyota to the generic showed much stouter construction with heavier metal and rubber. Some things can be replaced with off brand but this center bearing is in constant use any time the truck is moving. Toyota quality is why I bought and own the truck. The particular piece that I received was defective. A technician at a driveshaft place said that it had “bearing chatter.” Other than that, I’m certain that an alternate piece would have worked out fine. Item was a direct factory replacement, went on without any issue and I can tell a massive difference. I got an enormous amount of TORQUE back. My bearing CRACKED AND TOSSED IT'S GREASE AND WAS JERKING THE TRUCK DO TO SAGGING.
