Good for some, but not for all, worth the money!
I bought the amp as an open-box special deal, when I first turned it on the power transformer itself was buzzing, but that was quickly addressed by tightening the clamshell cover screws on it, probably why it was on clearance. The overdrive channel is a bit weak and muddy for my liking, but I bought this amp for the clean channel, which is awesome sounding with real rich tube amp tone. You can't expect a marshall sound from a bargain 50 watt tube amp, but this amp was worth the money. I may try a few different tubes out on it to see if I can squeeze out a better sounding overdrive channel. If you are looking for a tube amp for it's clean channel, this amp will definitely do the job without breaking the bank, if you are looking for metal type overdrive, try a different brand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
