The product itself is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't be happier with it. However, I spent about a half hour or so cleaning it before I used it, as it was absolutely FILTHY when I received it. If I didn't have to spend so much time cleaning out all the orange gunk that was caked in every crevice of the bowl, lid, pusher, blade, etc. I would have rated it higher. I mean even the ziplock bag that the accessories came in was filthy. It was covered in some questionable brown sludge. Yummy. I know it was used and I would have cleaned it anyway before I used it myself, but if it had arrived a little cleaner or at least with a new ziplock bag for the accessories, I would have been much happier. It really looked like it hadn't been washed after use, which made me think that it hadn't been taken care of very well by the seller. This made me question whether it would even work when I tried it. Thank god it did, and like I said I am very happy with it's performance now. I ended up having to order a small pusher for it as this one stated that it was missing. It doesn't really need it (as the item description said), unless you are using the shredder/chopper blades so it wasn't a big deal to just order the $5 part. Again, the processor works like a champ for me and does everything that it was advertised to do, it just arrived in a fairly disgusting state and needed to be cleaned and sanitized before I would even think about using it.Read full review
This is a very powerful processor. Don't be surprised if the machine kicks a bit at start up. Hold it firmly. There are a considerable variety of blades to choose from. This model has been the workhorse for Cuisinart for some time now. I am deducting 1 star because the clear plastic parts (above the motor base) are comparatively weak and prone to breakage without due caution. Also, do NOT place these items on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. The heating element may partially melt them. The top rack will work fine. Even with weekly usage for a large family. The motor will last for 10+ years EASY!
This vintage 1994 food processor was still new in box, in perfect condition. My original food processor was the same model, well used for 30 years, but tired. I am thrilled to have this “brand new” kitchen work horse! It is my most reliable tool, proven over and over. I gifted my daughter with a more current model a few years ago, but sadly, the newer model cannot compare to this one. Five years old and already needs to be replaced! If you can find the DLC-10, grab it. I’m hoping to find a replacement for my daughter.

Been using the DLC longer than I can remember so when our unit finally gave out after 30 years of constant service( from our young children through our grandchild) we went on ebay to find a new one This unit was perfect when we received It has been used every day since You can't beat a Cuisinart food processor It is wonderful and adventurous and a real work horse in the kitchen. It's exactly what I was looking. It's for an older model Cuisinart, and so, hard to find. I was afraid they were no longer making it, but it looks like it's right out of the box. Thank you
