Well worth it!
This has saved me a lot of hassle, time, and money. My tank filtration was self made and would clog making my tank overflow. This canister is amazing. It is very quiet, has great flow, cleared my tank right up. It's beautiful and easy to clean, disconnect the hoses, and hook right back up. I have an 88 gallon tank and it's great. I would recommend this canister filter!

Terrific Aquarium Filter for Aquatic Turtles
Great filter and very quiet, easy set up and installation. I use it in a 120 gallon aquarium filled to about 90 gallons that houses a turtle and 11 fish. Aquatic turtles are notoriously messy and require a very strong canister filter to maintain good water quality. It does an excellent job in keeping the water clean and clear, no cloudiness whatsoever. Water quality remains stable.

To Fluval or Not
This is a heavy duty and well built unit. Well thought out with innovative features. I would actually give it 4.5 Stars. I cannot give it five because of the. 3 units I ordered, only 1worked right out of the box. The impellers were not seated correctly so after setting it up and plugging it in “ NOTHING”. After dismantling and fixing the impeller issue, it worked like a charm. The hose is thin and about 13 ft long. A little more hose would be nice

FX6 Summary
Good layout and design. Its BIG. Like so many things there are those folks who have spent some time looking at ways to improve on something good so search for improvement hacks because there are plenty of creative ways to improve on the filtration. Its been running a few weeks with some of those suggested improvements and so far I'm very impressed. I have a belief that there no such thing as over filtration so its sitting on a 93 gal corner tank with an additional Eheim.
