The buttons on the unit do not work. I have to go into the HP solutions center and make adjustments for every scan. The actual scanning is good when I can get it to work. There was no disk for the unit and it is difficult to find a download program for it. This number unit is not even listed on the downloads and HP does not support a program for it anymore. I was trying to make it work and now the 14 day window is up and they are telling me I cannot return it. I am going to make a formal complaint to ebay. Not worth the money.

It's not new, it's got OK resolution, and it's not fast - But it does the job I bought it to do. It scans documents into my computer, and that's all I needed it to do. I am thrilled with it. :^)

I already owned this exact model so I was happy to set this one up for a friend. Does everything as expected. My setup discs for XP didn't work on the Windows 7 machine but I was able to download all of the software from HP.

This is a work-horse of a scanner. I looked for this particular model to replace the same scanner that is getting old, beginning to make a noise, and definitely on borrowed time. Since going to a paper-less file system, I use my scanner extensively and every day. The main reason I initially chose this model is that it was listed on the list of compatible scanners for the software I currently use to manipulate scanned documents.
Bought used one for under $40. What you expect? It can scan negatives! PROS - Can scan native films CONS - can scan two negatives at one time. Files are way too big. Not good quality. Would not recommend to any one.
