I bought this from a quite old relative just to scan 35 mm slides. It was never used and never opened before. My very new computer (Mac OS Ventura 13.1, bought in 2022) does not work with this scanner to do 35 mm slides.

The Epson flatbed scanner provides a 35 mm slide adapter option so that users may scan fragile items like negatives and slides with accuracy. The slide adapter is 4 inches by 5 inches, and it is equipped with two film holders to keep material in place while scanning. Compatible with both Mac and PC computer systems, the Epson Perfection 1250 combines advanced hardware with useful extras to handle a wide variety of scanning tasks. A 1200 dpi resolution pairs with 48-bit color to allow the photo scanner to capture even minor details in slides, photographs, or even negatives. One-touch buttons turn the Epson flatbed scanner into a copier and allow users to send scanned documents or images to email or to be uploaded on the Internet. Great scanner for a great price!
The pre-owned Epson 1250 scanner that I bought arrived well packaged, it was easy to set up after downloading the driver from the Epson site. Scans in color and B&W at up to 1200 dpi with good resolution. It’s an older machine so it’s slower than newer scanners but it’s perfect for me since I don’t need to scan large volumes of images/documents.
