I bought a pair of these speakers about ten years ago and have used them every day since. When I needed a second set for a new notebook with poor built-ins I didn't hesitate. Great sound for the size and very portable. They run off the UBS plug so no power/location issues. Set the volume with keypad and enjoy.

These work great for portable. If the volume input is low and you turn them up they clip pop and rattle. If the volume input is high like from the internet or YouTube they work pretty good. They don't have much bass unless there sitting on a hard surface that can vibrate with them. Then they have another problem, they dance all over the table and fall off. The sound is very clear in the end.

I am very happy with these speakers. plug in and use immediately - with great sound. I wanted speakers for my computer to play a DVD in church and the sound is loud enough to fill the church hall. they come in their own neat case, keeping the speakers tidy and safe. The have only one wire to plug in to my computer and very easy to use. the buttons are a little small to operate but they do start, fast forward and stop a DVD - a handy bonus.
Good: super portable! (comes with its own portable case!) 1 less wire (No ac power, no outlet needed. USB powered from your pc) decent max volume Bad: bass might be a little weak (but you can tweak this with your equalizer setting on your media player) At max volume, it seems to lack the power to support the boost, it will make some distorted sound. You just need to stick to below 80% volume and it's good enough to throw a small party in your dorm! If you're looking for a SUPERB performance speakers ON THE GO, this is it! Some might think the bass is a little weak. However, given the condition that these speakers are PORTABLE, that's the least compromise you'll have to accept. In fact, with a little tweak of the equalization on your media player, such as winamp or windows media player, you will be able to boost your bass and I'm sure it will sound decent enough. Again, if you're looking for a nice pair of ON THE GO speakers, this is a must have!!!Read full review
The convenience of USB connectivity (with 1 wire), accessible controls on top of the speaker, and ease of use without having to download software makes up for the bulkier size. The speakers are portable and come with a very nice sturdy case but would be difficult to transport in a smaller laptop bag. All in all, the sound quality and other features make these speakers a perfect choice for those looking for quality and ease of use.
Took me a minute to get them working (adjusted OS sound settings). But once I did, these things blew me away! Nice sound with a punchy bass, clear mids, vocals could be better (be still are good). I did my research and decided to go with these, boy am I glad I did! EXCEEDED my expectations! If you are reading up on these, go for it. I got these b/c of the deal, but I would say these are worth retail value too($55ish). Pull the trigger and go for these! Pros: -Great all around sound -Portable (w/ sexy travel case) -Crisp punchy bass -USB powered, does not need power from wall -Perfect for laptop/netbook portability Cons: -wires COULD be longer (but were perfect for me) -Buttons take a bit of force to use -Vocals are lacking a touch (probably could fix with sound EQ settings)
I have an Acer Aspire Notebook which I love; however, the internal speakers just didn't perform the way I expected. So, I purchased these Logitech V20 speakers to help with this. I was immediately impressed with the travel case they came in which will make it very convenient and safe to take them anywhere away from home. I am extremely satisfied with the volume and sound delivery from these inexpensive speakers! They are easy to install and they look great also. Don't hesitate to get yourself a set of these, you'll be happy that you did!
These speakers are relatively good considering they are USB powered. The thing I don't like about them is that I have a Sigmatel High Definition Audio sound card by Creative labs and it allows me to customize my sound through the regular built in notebook speakers. However, it won't let me customize my sound when using the V20 speakers. Perhaps my sound card can work through adapter powered speakers like the Creative Gigaworks t20. The good thing about them is their compact design, the travel case, and no need of plugging them to the wall.
Great speakers for people that have quiet laptops. They got great sound, but don't expect em to have a ton of bass. After all these are USB powered. Personally have a set of them myself and bought 2 more for the relatives. Highly recomend for anyone who is looking for a good sounding pair of laptop speakers. New ones are a bit pricey, but can be found for around 30-45 bucks used
The v20 logitech speakers are a good all around sounding LAPTOP speaker set. they are very practical to use with function controls on the speaker like :volume, mute, play, stop, ff, rev and to beat it all they are completely plug and play. no software and they have one cord that connects to your computer that is a single usb cable and it transfers the sound to the speakers with that and it also powers the internal amp in the speakers. all in all a+ for form and function.
