Best computer speakers I have ever heard in my life. The sub is just big enough to give it a nice bass sound, yet small enough to hide behind a computer monitor. The sound is absolutely crystal clear with absolutely no distortion at any volume level (that I have experienced. I have not maxed out the volume because 1) I'm afraid I might blow a speaker, and 2) they can get LOUD. Loudest I've had it was a little over half way and I could hear it all around my mid-sized house.) They seem to really like music with strings in it (cello, violin) but they also beat down with hip hop and rock. I got this set for just over $25 dollars, and with this quality, I would have easily payed over a hundred. Price vs. performance these are the best computer speakers you will find. (they also work as great stand alone speakers because they are stand alone with their own power supply, and have a 3.5mm headphone jack)Read full review
I used to own this item before I gave it away to a friend. It has 2 small speakers and a subwoofer with a max power of 69. But, I never had to turn it up high since it was too loud. The power from the air pocket of the subwoofer at median is enough to blow away a candle. The best feature is its adaptability. It can adapt any input device like IPod, MP3, stereo, TV, DVD player, etc. I used this feature to turn it into a one-stop-all-sound-speakers and mount it on the wall. This is an impressive product for its price. It may not the best out in the market, but definitely well made and worth it. The retail price is $50.00, but the usual rebates will reduce it down to $20.00.
if you are lucky enough to find these speakers in working order you might want to just stop what you are doing and buy them. They are some of the best out there and definitely the best for the cost. I bought a pair of these before I deployed to Iraq in 2006 and after all that and moving around since then they finally gave up the ghost. I bought a new set and I am back in business. I cannot be happier with them.

I bought these speakers after reviewing many others. I found that the current models from this and other mfgs at this price range didn't offer very good sound quality. Although these speakers aren't made anymore they are better quality wise than the current offerings at this price range (40 to 50 dollars). So I came to eBay and found the set of 2 speakers and sub for around $50. They sound great. The subwoffer is where all the power comes from for the whole system and the sub can get very loud. The 2 speakers don't get as loud as the sub but they sound very nice together.
Two years ago my daughter and spent time listening to many computer speaker systems at several retail locations. We could not believe our ears when we listened to the Logitec X-230 Speakers, they were far better than all the others at 3 times the price!!. We purchased a pair for her and recently I went back to get a pair for myself and found out that they were discontinued in Canada. Thank goodness for EBAY! I got some used ones in good condition from the USA. These speakers are the best value for your money in sound quality and performance
