Works well with smoke and other odors. The permanent HEPA filter in the Honeywell HHT-011 is able to filter almost 100% of pet dander, smoke, pollen, mold spores and dust. What’s great about this particular model is it comes with a light indicator that lets you know when it’s time to clean the filter. It does get a bit loud when set on high, but you only need this setting if there is a large concentration of dust in the room, or a bad smell you need to get rid of quickly. Great product, but noise takes some time to get used to.
I have chronic allergies and woke up every morning either with a cough or the sniffles. So I decided to try investing in an air purifier and I have not woken up with coughs or sniffles since I've set it up. If you have a similar problem, I highly suggest investing in an air purifier. I really like the Honeywell compact air purifier. It doesn't take a lot of space and a put it right next to my bed. Super simple set up and the controls work similarly to a fan. My only issue is that it does make a sound. If you're not used to the hum of an old fan or can't really block out noise, then I do not recommend purchasing this. I've gotten used to the sound and I'm able to sleep with it right next to me, but it does get annoying from time to time so I turn it off. Overall though, its a great buy and I highly recommend it. I bought this to help with odors due to my husband smoking, but it seems to make the smell worse. The smell of cigarette smoke is better compared to how this machine makes the air smell. Bought this for a mold problem under bathroom floor but could tell no difference.... So I put it near me in living room.
