Equipped with a powerful 700-watt motor, this KitchenAid KFP750 food processor makes chopping, slicing, dicing, and purees quick and simple. In addition, the sound barrier provided by the sealed motor housing on the processor assures that this machine will work quietly. The KitchenAid KFP750 food processor features a dual feed system for multitasking. The large tube and food pusher handle large ingredients. Detach the small pusher, and use the small tube for small ingredients. A small hole in the bottom of the small pusher allows you to drizzle oil onto your ingredients. With the small pusher attached, simply fill it with the required amount of oil and begin processing. When you need precision or a light touch, just press the pulse control. The 12-cup processing bowl and high-quality, multi-purpose stainless steel blade allow you to prepare recipes in large batches. For recipes requiring fewer ingredients, use the 4-cup mini bowl and blade to prepare a single cup at a time. Accessories include a dough blade, 4-mm (medium) shredding disc, spatula, and 2-mm (fine) and 4-mm (medium) slicing discs. Options include a 6-mm (thick) slicer, 2-mm (thin) and 6-mm (thick) shredders, and an ice or parmesan grater. A julienne cutter and a French fry cutter are other available extras. The 6-mm slicer and shredder, two cutters, and grater can be found as part of a five-piece set. With these, you'll feel inspired to add fresh vegetables to stews you and prepare more creative salads. You can forget about paying more for packaged, pre-cut luncheon meats. You can also forget about standing at the meat counter trying to explain the exact thickness of the slices that you want. Simply buy your ham, pastrami, salami, and other luncheon meats fresh and uncut, and slice them yourself as you like. Bought this based on an ATK review of food processors
Unfortunately I recently had to get rid of my Cuisinart processor - it finally died in me - and acquired a POS Hamilton Beach as a "gift" - of which I will not be comparing either the Kitchenaid or Cuisinart to. The Cuisinart was the first processor I ever owned and I had it since 1995. It took all I put it through for 20 years and never let me down. Until it died, it had kick ass horse power and an incredibly strong blade that never dulled, EVERY part of it was still in like new condition. I've been searching for 6 months for a replacement and came across an appliance review from Americas Test Kitchen which rated this top pick and preferred, as well as researching MANY different brands, models & styles after reading the description of the KFP750 by them, I went on the hunt for one. Bought this on ebay, opened it the day I got it and put it to my tests. It preformed every bit as good as my Cuisinart at every task AND is MUCH QUIETER!! I ordered the optional wide mouth lid, the optional disc(s) set, an extra mini work bowl and extra blades. The extra blades I ordered because, maybe - and even hopefully - I'm wrong about them, but the blades of this v.s. the Cuisinart are a lot flimsier and serrated and I don't have a whole lot of faith that they'll last. Glad to once again have this model!
Parts of my trusty (and refurbished) Kitchenaid KP750 food processor were lost in a move, including the motor base. Its replacement was redesigned, and just made me miss my old one even more!
