Hi, I am a teacher and needed a projector urgently because the one I had broke down. I found the Epson S4 for a very good price and decided to buy it. I like many things about the product and dislike only a few. I like that it is lightweighted, that it has a cover that you slide in to protect the lens (no need to put away covers that might get lost),and that the fan turns off in seconds so you can put it away fast if you're on the go. The image quality is really good, the colors are bright and the image is also great. What I dislike is that in order for you to zoom in or out, you have to move the projector closer or farther away from the screen (it doesn't have a button for that). I also dislike the fact that it takes a while for the image to appear clearly (it has to warm up for let's say for 30-40 seconds so that the image appears clearly). Overall I am very pleased because I got a great product for the price. The pros are more than the cons so if you're planning on buying a not-so-sophisticated projector, I would recommend this one.Read full review
I'm the author of a couple of historical novels and I bought this projector primarily to use with a couple of PowerPoint presentations I use when speaking to groups. I wanted something sturdy and inexpensive to operate. The Epson S-4 came highly recommended by previous owners and I was not disappointed. Projection quality is bright and sharp, colors spot on, and replacement bulbs are inexpensive. This is a real bargain compared to what these units sold for originally. It is an SVGA unit and not XGA, so some background digitalization (screen door effect) is visible -- but it does not bother me. If I were using this projector for detailed Excel charts or home theatre I would want an XGA equivalent.
Love the fast warm up time, this projector heats right up and runs for hours! I use it for "home theatre" setup so it's great for movies, looks very nice in a dark room. Not the best for lit rooms but still visible. A good item though overall and replacement bulbs are only about 150.00 - 200.00 substantially lower than most projector bulbs.
im 12 years old and i love the projector and the raping was great my dad let mme write this
