I have had mine for over 5 years, 3800 hours on the lamp and it finally went out. The lamps are pricey but the projector is worth it. Mine has spent 28 months in Iraq being bounced around and moved from location to location without a problem. The HDMI input was the deciding factor for me, as the next cheapest one at the time was more than double the IN72's price. I would highly reccomend it to everyone. might get a second one myself. I do however wish it had either a built-in speaker or audio-out.
This projector is really easy to use, and provide a decent picture without the cost. Is HDMI ready. the image is sharp and brigntess is very reasonable. I'm building my home theater and has already paid of in an increase in the apraised value of the home.
This projector has been great for us! We used it on our 125" screen in our basement and outside on the side of our white house so we had a screen that was 20 feet tall! It has some features that some of the higher end projectors do not (flips the image automatically when you turn it upside down for a ceiling, capture a custom start up screen). I highly recommend if you're looking for a budget level projector!!!
The IN72 by Infocus is a great buy here on ebay. They have had numerous problems with power supplies, though. I think as the bulb ages, it puts more load on the power supply causing problems. Youtube has actual videos of the problem where the circuit board would burst into flames. Can't get parts except through used channels and repairs are extremely high. For the money, if it works, all is good. I have had four of them and two have failed with the same problem. Bottom line...if you cannot afford better, this is a good way to go. Buy the SquareTrade warranty! You just may need it.
This is one of the best projectors for it price. It image is great and brilliant. The inputs are the best of this days technology. Just a great projector.
