Added amp to the factory stereo in my 2004 BMW 645CIC. Great way to add more bass and over all sound to the Logic 7 sound system using the speaker inputs. I replaced the existing front and rear speakers with Alpine 5 1/4" component speakers and added a 10" sub in a custom box in the trunk. I connected the front door speakers and new sub to the amp using the exist inputs for each speaker. The system really sound great. Only issue I found was that the seatbelt/key warning tone is much louder now and is not adjustable so it can be startling when you turn the the key to start the car. I'm getting use to it and passengers never forget to buckle up now. LOL
This amplifier is a very economical way to upgrade your factory car setup. Alpine makes a very nice product, and their quality is apparent when using this amp. I chose this amp over others (vs. Pioneer, Pyle, and Pyramid)for several reasons. First, I am a returning Alpine customer. Previously, I've purchased and used the Alpine MRP-M500 amp to power an Alpine S-series 10" subwoofer. I was very impressed with the performance and clarity of that setup, having very clean and manageable bass that didn't disturb other cars TOO much. Second, the price. The MRP-F300, while not the most powerful amp on the market by any means, does put out a respectable amount of power, and for a price that can be fairly hard to beat. I often will see them being sold for anywhere from $115 to $135. On to features and usage: This amp take a 4-channel RCA input, or alternatively, a 4-channel stereo input (stereo harness included with a few inches of wire on each line). The amp puts out 75 watts RMS per channel at 2-Ohm resistance, or 50 watts RMS at 4-Ohm. The output is also bridgeable to 150 watts at 2-Ohm resistance, for only 2 channels. I suspect this means you can also only give it a 2-channel input instead of the usual 4. Another feature the amp has that I don't remember seeing in product descriptions is a 2-channel RCA pre-out built into the amp itself. This is a VERY useful feature for those who also want to power a sub on its own amp, but whose radio only has 4-channel RCA pre-outs. The amp also has High Pass Filter and Low Pass Filter options for the front speakers and rear speakers independently. Performance: Without changing anything else in my setup, using this amp instead of the radio's internal powering has made a dramatic difference in sound quality. Volume levels can be kept at lower levels than previously, highs and mids are more distinguished and distinct, and sounds like drums and other lower instruments are more realistic sounding and cleaner. In some songs, I've even noticed sounds and instruments that previously could not even be heard. Overall, I'm very impressed with this amp and very satisfied with my purchase. With this amp, Alpine offers an economical choice without sacrificing quality. With time, I'm becoming an avid Alpine customer (I'm even seriously considering switching 2 of my Bose 5 1/4" speakers to Alpine, because the highs in the Bose seem harsh at times, compared to the Alpines being more balanced). I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to upgrade the sound system in their car from a stock setup, or who are ready for a pleasant change from their current aftermarket setup.Read full review
Just installed this amp in my 2008 Titan along with 4 Alpine SPS-610c's speakers. I usually don't take the time to post reviews on products but i like this amp so much I had to voice my opinion. This amp rocks! It may be only putting out 50W per channel but i can't even crank it half-way without my ears bleeding. Crisp clear sound even at high volume levels. I also installed a new MFP-F500 with a SWS-D12 sub which contributes to the high quality sound. Can't say enough about how pleased I am with this amp.
Just replaced my 10 year old MRP-F300 amp (which was drowned in a little flooding mishap) with this NOS amp in my '95 oyota Corolla station wagon. It is attached to a JVC deck & Kappa Infinity speakers. And let me tell you: it ROCKS! ... All the power you will ever need in a small cockpit. People are astonished when they hear the range & volume of output blasting from my unassuming little car.
