Perfect for getting rid of the sunroof clunk
There's a fairly common problem with Lexus sunroofs as they age. The weatherstrip wears out resulting in a 'clunk' or 'thump' sound that at first sounds like a suspension noise. After searching the internet I found out that the noise originates from the sunroom and replacing the weatherstrip fixes it. Excellent, OEM quality part that is a perfect replacement for the original that apparently wears out over time. Although my original seal still looked fine I was getting wind noise with the sunroof shade pulled back at highway speeds. After researching a bit I found this isn’t uncommon with the 4th gen Lexus GS so I ordered this part for a fair price received it promptly and installed it with minimal difficulty and it cured all the wind noise I was experiencing.
