It was new in the box and once I figured out how to take our old Lennox thermostat apart installing the new thermostat was easy. Setup was fairly easy it sensed my equipment and displayed all of the settings so I left them alone and it worked better than expected. Programming the thermostat was easy to do and the scheduling in it works great. I wouldn't recommend this for non Lennox systems though. good smart thermostat
I am replacing the same thermostat, that after 4 years failed. I just hope that the setting for the heat pump are ok. I will find out when winter comes. I had a license hvac contractor from Horizon services wanting to charge me $1172.00 to replace it. My old one was under warranty , but only if a license contractor done it. I replaced my self and didn't get any warranty reimbursement, but saved over $600 doing so.

Old Lennox thermostat screen went black
Old Lennox thermostat screen went black. Heat pump needs this smart thermostat to work properly so I bought this as a replacement. I would not recommend this thermostat unless you are replacing one exactly like this.
