Hyacinth is snob and a social climber who is always scheming to belong with an elite crowd, and keep her lower-class relatives at bay. Long-suffering husband Richard is the straight man who always ends up either getting hurt or embarrassed by his wife's antics. Watch as Hyacinth tries to boast about her life while oblivious to other's reactions.

Always a house favorite, it's great to have that whole collection at last You can find a episode or two on Youtube and sometimes on Netflix. That doesn't help when you like to see more. At this price it was an easy decision to erase it off the bucket list! Pun intended!!!

Disc 1 is messed up
I've only been able to watch two discs so far. The second one is good, but the first disc was very messed up. The disc constantly freezes, skips and two of the episodes are cut in half. One of which was my favorite episodes. Wish I paid the new price of $21 rather than the $25 I did. Would have felt less irked.

Hyacinth fans, this is a must-have
Contains ALL the episodes, including the cruise on the QEII Special. Plus, there are a ton of extras, outtakes (which are brilliant), a special starring Onslow (he's gotten a gig with Open University dispensing life lessons) and monologues from another program where Ms. Routledge plays a character named Kitty (far too colloquially British for me to understand, but hilarious nevertheless). It gives me a warm fuzzy to know I've got all of Hyacinth any time I want her!
