I had this in the direct sun the plastic faded brown and the sensor stopped working. The sensor went bad. Got another one, same thing. My friend has this same one from the same store and lives in a cooler climate and works fine. So I guess if you live in a climate where it doesn’t get over 100 degrees, it might work.

Easy to install and set up. I had one of these that a set up about 9 months ago. They are very bright. they pick up movement and stay on while there is movement. I do not have small animals setting them off. You can cover a large area with the light. Very helpful if you are doing something at night. You do not need a flash light. I now have 3 installed and plan on getting a few more. The best part, install them for get them. No electric!

I have had other solar powered security lights. Some are good and some are good so good. I bought this one for my porch. It says "1000 lumens" on the box but I have had my doubt. When I installed it, the light was actually brighter, I think, than the advertised rating, probably the equivalent of two 100-watt light bulbs. It was every easy to install. Just make sure the solar panel is directed toward the sun light to get maximum charge during the day. I was very happy. Would strongly recommend it.
