Majesco's DS veterinary sim moves to its console cousin and brings seven new animals with it in Zoo Hospital for the Wii. Players once again take on the role of a recently graduated veterinarian, off to the famous Zoo Hospital to restore its reputation by diagnosing and treating dozens of exotic creatures. Most of the actual treatment unfolds in Wii Remote-heavy mini-games, such as the first-person shooter parasite attack in which players remove ticks, bugs, and rashes. Other mini-games include dentistry, where gamers can inject Novocain and pull rotten teeth, foreign body removal, in which players guide objects though mazes, and microscope treatment, where gamers blast bad microorganisms. It's not all about treating sick animals though, as feeding and learning the best way to sooth the creatures helps keep the Zoo Rating high. Higher Zoo Ratings earn the facility new animals and enclosures, but poor Zoo Ratings will cause animals to leave. Armchair vets can also team up with a friend for two-player co-op care.
