As a personal use system, this item is excellent. Easy to use controls let you easily program addresses with touch screen, enhanced by suggestive spellings of cities & streets. Clear, concise directions spoken in an electronic female voice combined with a 2D/3D map map travel from address to address a snap. Lightweight, slim design, Bluetooth compatibility, and a 3-4 hour battery life make this a great buy. The limitations of this unit are small but significant to some. The mapping from the GPS unit itself can only be entered by address, it won't accept lats & longs on the touch screen. I've had difficulty with taking the POI (Point of Interest) files and sending them to the GPS. As a personal unit, I'd highly recommend it. As a professional navigation tool, it lacks the import capability most users will look for, and without a better solution for inputting lats and longs, I'd recommend something more Microsoft friendly.Read full review
The Magellan Maestro 3250 ffers user-friendly, accurate GPS guidance. It utilizes satellite acquiring technology, which adjusts to real time traffic issues. One feature I am still learning about is voice activated guidance. It seems that the Magellan Maestro 3250 has a tendency to engage and respond to the user's voice even when not prompted. Additionally, it has pre-set voice guidance templates, but who always wishes to find the nearest coffee shop? It would be nice to know how to ask for directions to any given address via voice activation. As I stated, I am still learning. Overall, I am impressed with this GPS. It is accurate and simple to use. It is lightweight and offers Bluetooth technology. A great value for a reasonable investment.
The 3250 is a fun "little" piece of electronic wizardry. Voice operation is a very helpful safety feature. This GPS is very easy to operate. However, we found one drawback. We live in the country and the 3250 could find nor would it allow us to enter our address nor could it find our local Wal-mart. Fortunately, one email to Magellan and the problem was taken care of in a day! In today's business world, I would say that is pretty good service. Would buy another one in a heartbeat. Although, the 4250 has the same features but a bigger screen. We may opt for that one.
It does what it's suppose to do. Its compact, portable, fast reception. Though it has blue tooth, my earpiece bluetooth is still better but having that feature isn't bad at all for those that doesn't use bluetooth earpiece. Overall, I love it and it never froze on me like what other reviews were saying although I never left it in my car overnight. I would surely recommend the product. Oh one thing, I just wish there was a free upgrade with the map though the 2007 is still pretty much accurate.
I have had the GPS for about 2 months now. The features and operation of the unit are very easy to operate. However, the phone connection feature does not work very well. I have tried several different phones and when I call or receive a call, there is a lot of static and it is very difficult to hear by both parties. On local calls, the reception is a little better. Other than that, the GPS works fine.
