The motor is put together with one size to small O rings. On a deep well where the head pressure changes when the motor turns on & off,Just once a day even. Water can get into he motor. Pump had lasted about 18 to 20 months now experiencing problems. Think it my be related to the internal start capacitor design instead of external box system with externally mounted start and run capacitors and pump seems to have a hard time starting and coming up to full speed was very reliable for about a year and a half and well worth what was ask for the unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Item arrived early and had it in the well with no issues. The pump has more pressure than the previous unit. The water tight friction tape included seamed insufficient so we added watertight shrink tubes to the hot lines and attached it to the PVC with 2' vinyl tape. Hallmark 400’ 2hp deep well pump
So after much debate and reviewing others decided on this model. I did just for secondary back up add a brass check valve at the pump. This pump is heavy and after pulling it up 250’ to find a broke wire I would rather not have to pull it up due to the preinstalled plastic check valve going bad. I do recommend a torque resistor due to the high torque this pump has when it comes on. Would really hate for it to twist 360degrees around and break something else. So far pump has only been in use for two weeks but here’s to it lasting 25years like the one I replaced which turned out wasn’t bad just had a pipe fitting blowout at the pump.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
