Let me begin with one thing before continuing "I am not a Star Wars fan in any form or fashion" with that said, I love this game, I played a lot at arcades back in the day and never had for a system when I was a kid but im happy to have it now and its just as fun as I remembered. the game runs smooth and has good 3D effects for its time and is one of the better games for the 32X system.

Having always wanted a 32X console, the main reason being this game based upon commentary from online gaming forum posters, I was excited to be able to purchase it through Ebay. With the Sega Genesis console as its base, the 32X accomplishes sheer greatness with Star Wars Arcade. 3D realism comes to life in all its splendor for fans of the Star Wars film series. With Han Solo, Chewbacca, and the regular cast of Star Wars good and bad guys, this game offers many hours of enjoyment. I should also state that the visuals are breathtaking when the Genesis game platform is considered. Overall, Star Wars Arcade reminds me somewhat of another game for Super Nintendo called Star Fox, albeit with a George Lucas look and feel. I have not had a lot of time to play too far into this game to date, but am looking forward to that soon. If you own the Sega 32X console, this game is a must own title. Highly recommended.Read full review
Star Wars, nothing but Star Wars. Not near, but far wars... uh sorry. The 32X attempting a translation of Model 1 hardware!?! Fear not, Jedi Knights, this is actually a well done translation of the little seen arcade title. The 32X shines here by not only accomplishing little polygon break-up, but by also keeping pop-up to a minimum. Even the poor old Genesis sound chip outdoes itself especially in the opening "Star Wars Theme." Highly recommended if you're one of the few that accidentally bought a 32X.
For starters, this game is very common on ebay and cheap, so if you own a Sega 32x or want to own one add this game to your collection. For the cheap price, you get very good graphics for being on 32x, and star wars sound. Plus, its Star Wars, and I love Star Wars games. But be warned, this game is really hard. There is an Arcade mode (which is hard) and a 32x mode (which has more levels, which is cool, but ends up being harder...). You can play one player (x-wing) or 2 player (y-wing) where one player flys and shoots proton torpedos and the other player...well they get to shoot the laser gun...thats about it...:(. If you like Star Wars, and have a 32x, fun to own.
The game works on big-screen TVs but looks bad. It's best to play the game on an older cathode ray TV.

In the box straight out of the 90s. Tightest 32x game ever. Awesome price.

for the star wars fan and retro gamer alike......sort of. Star wars 32x is fun for the most part, the thing is these games are notorious for freezing in some of the battles. Even though the background (space) is black, I thought the color was great, sound was good (considering it is on Sega) controlling is tight and overall it is enjoyable. I recommend buying it, but if you pay more than a few dollars, IT'S A TRAP!!!!
Retro gameplay for sure, but still fun!

I like Star Wars game in general, so I decided to try this one out. I the game is easy to pick up. I thought the X-wing fighter was hard to steer, but other wise a fun game to play. Great graphics for the time. I would recommend that you buy this one.
