My APC 1500 backup power supply gave up the ghost last month during 5 second or so power outage. I was given no advance warning that the batteries were no longer holding a charge. Shame on APC. I was rather unnerved by the replacement battery cost through APC - nearly 2/3 the cost of a new unit. Looking on line I saw these batteries for a very good price. I ordered and they arrived about 5 days later. Once thing that I did find was there really ought to be a better way of strapping these two batteries together. I did end up using some packing tape, but if something were included that would be precut to fit around the batteries and original piece that holds them together in the APC device it would be more professional. I gave them a full charge and discharge 4 times before trusting them. I don't think they have the same capacity as the original batteries. The estimated run time on the previous batteries was about 47 minutes, but using the same equipment on the new batteries estimates about 27 minutes. I can live with this, but was somewhat surprised as these were supposed to be an exact mfr repalcement. If I get the same 3 years out of them I will be very happy. For the cost of these versus buying directly from APC I am very satisfied with the purchase.
