As far as functionality it is hard to tell how well a magazine will work in someone else's firearm. I did test fire both of the magazines for normal functionality in my own firearm which is well maintained. Both magazines delivered all the rounds to the chamber and operated well on the first 10 rounds of standard 22LR ammunition. However, a match between a magazine and a firearm is a lot like living with your wife. Some times there is a give and take to get along. The best thing is to give them a stress test prior to a competition and based on the firearm condition, the shooter, the ammunition and the shooting application, minor adjustments may have to be made to anyone of the four components mentioned. This magazine came with the 10 round plug installed which increases the spring pressure and contributed to miss-feed. The first round was pushed too high jamming the round in the breach. The original magazine that came with the gun did not have the plug and I never had a miss-feed. I discovered, when I attempted to clean and remove the plug, that the plug and base was glued in place. That may be a requirement in CA but it was a pain. It carries the OEM numbers but it was not the quality of the original.

Having any type of gun you should all know the importance of having extra mags. Well these factory S&W mags do not disappoint! They are a perfect fit and exactly what I needed when it comes to packing rounds! Easy to load, feed like a champ with no malfunctions at all. 10/10 would highly recommend! This magazine was at least $8 to $10 cheaper than anywhere else you can possibly think to look.. It came 2 and a half days after I ordered it, which just blew me away.. It is in it's original packaging, and is exactly the same as the one that came with the firearm itself, except for the fact that it only holds 10 rounds and not 12.. But that is E-BAYS rule, and it can also be made into a 12 rounder fairly easily!! I highly recommend it, and I will definitely be buying more.

This is by far the best price for these oem mags. These are 10 round mags. Can be converted to 12 rounds by removing the limiter inside. Easier said than done. The basepate is glued in place by what looks like a white hot glue. It is stubborn. I tried heat, soaking in hot water, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits and acetone. No luck. Soaking in WD-40 overnight weakened enough to break the bond, then I was able to get apart, scrape off the glue residue, remove the limiter and reassemble.
