My daughters 2008 Rav4 check lights came on. The computer codes indicated this was the problem part. Upon further research I found that Toyota had a recall for this, but since we purchased the car used the date allowed for the recall had expired. My only recourse was to purchase this part for $520. I removed the old canister and installed the new one myself. Fortunately, they're a few YouTube videos online that review the removal/installation. The new part improved the idle speed and gas mileage. The check lights have not returned. So, in short, the part worked great and solved the problem. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet for less than what I payed unless I bought a used one. For this type of part I wouldn't buy a used one. Overpriced part, but worked great.

Purchased in April 2023 2009 RAV4, 185K miles, replaced my original EVAP CAN, it's refurbished well, my mechanic had no problem installing it. All the yellow lights went out, traction control, 4 wheel drive, check engine, maintenance required and they have stayed off, passed the Illinois emission test this week 06/16
