The two 12" woofers and single horn-loaded 1" tweeter boast 200W RMS (400W peak) power handling, and yield a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz. Generation 2 X-radial design horn-loaded tweeter. Passive speaker cabinet with 4-Ohm impedance.
I was testing a pair of these on one of my Carver M500T amplifiers which is about 370 per channel rms at 4 ohms. I have another pair of speakers that sound almost just as good, but they do not remain as stable at 200 watts rms like the TP-2400. I was shocked about the bullet felt bass that these speakers produce. Although the bass in rap music isn't designed for any high energy speaker besides sub-woofers, they have the ability to reach an unexpected low even by my standards. I'll be purchasing another set for my other Carver real soon...
These speakers are a good value if you have the power to run them. Although the noise and frequency range isn't the best, for sheer volume and "thumping", they are hard to beat.
