First I was surprised it was a GM OEM part, not a aftermarket. I needed this for a Pontiac 2002 TA. You can't find that part for a TA. Gm Direct said it has been discontinued. After a lot of research, I realized this shift handle is the EXACT same part for the Trans Am except for the leather cover. My girlfriend opened up the stitching on one side, & the rest is just glued on. Some 3M fabric glue, & it's just like it came from Gm. Very happy..

Part came in looking like new! Just make sure to keep your old large staple pin as this did not come with its own.
