I have to admit; this great and solid mid-carder in the mid 80's put on the show of shows with his superior work ethic and classic matches in the mid-to-late 90's. Talk about earning it; getting screwed by VKM, but what's knew? Yes, I understand the issue of the business versus these guys putting their lives on the line...simple fact: When Bret wanted to leave to go over to WCW, VKM should have honored Bret's wish to drop the belt to HBK at any other show, other than in Montreal!!! Period! A billion dollars later...VKM has to always be larger-than-life, in every moment, and nothing is out of bounds but this WAS! Thanks Bret! GOd Bless!
as a fan of the Hitman for years i can honestly say this book did nothing but brighten my memories and entertain me. It is a tale of the business Bret inhabited during those years he reigned as the best and it speaks of the times that a lot of us wrestling fans wish never ended, those days before NWOs and the losing of smiles. As for the man behind that immortal wrestling character, Bret Hart, I can honestly say that he was every bit as much of a stand up guy as his persona, kudos to Bret for really writing the best wrestling tale of them all and for never giving up in the face of any adversity that he came across. Great book!
This is a great book on the life of the Hit Man Bret Hart. Very informable.

I decided to buy this book after seeing it in a bookstore. It is an extremely frank autobiography of one of the most popular wrestlers ever to enter a pro ring. If you're a pro wrestling fan, and ever wanted to know the real truth of this "sport", then this is a must read. The book is a long one, at over 500 pages, but it is riveting. To say I highly recommend it, is an under- statement
One of the best professional wrestling books ever written
