A zinc alloy, commonly known as die cast or pot metal, is a good option for this type of tool — a bit harder/more durable than many common aluminum alloys (most 6XXX and lower), comparable to mild steel but without the rust factor. It's sturdy, not likely to bend or fracture and the pivot point is solid but free. The main problem is the rims are too thick to insert into the coupler to depress the release spring clip. After many varied attempts I was not able to find a technique to overcome the issue without resorting to using only one side of the tool and something else on the other. Several pieces of split and shaped pvc work much better, are easy to make, cheap, and expendable. Bad tool
I bought this to change my transmission lines on my 2006 f150 . And the tool will not fit in slot around the trany line to release the line. Total waist of time and money. I had to macgyver and make my owen tool to get in there. I wasnt happy to say the least. Didn't work for any of my ac lines on my 350z.
Could engage the low pressure fiting on the condenser, but couldn't get the connection to come loose. None of the sizes fit the high side connection. Hard to use in small spaces and hurts your hands when using force on connections. Overall not impressed..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
