This is the book that started it all back in 1937 as far as the law of attraction is concerned. It certainly is a book that has changed many people's lives as far as being successful is concerned. Because this book was written in the late thirties the idiomatic expressions it contains are somewhat different from those of today. I have read some complaints in reviews regarding this. I was born in the early forties so it is fun for me to read the old expressions and hear stories about the old contemporary heroes of the day such as Andrew Carnnegie and Henry Ford. I like the older Think and Grow Rich books (the ones with the purple cover) as opposed to the newer ones that are being printed today. I guess maybe I am worried about them taking out some of the original content or ideas in the newer editions like Napoleon Hill did with the Law of Success in 1928 which was different from his original 1925 publication of same which had limited circulation. This review is for the 1965 edition which looks like all of its predecessors but somewhere after the 1950 edition they added an index. There also is an index in the 1961 edition I have but I don't know at what point it was added between 1950 and 1961. The publisher in the 1961 and 1965 editions is Combined Registry Company in Chicago whereas the earlier editions were published by the Ralston Society in Cleveland, OH. as was the 1937 first edition. This is an excellent book that everyone should read. I give it a five star rating and recommend it highly. There isn't much not to like. If you are like me and can't afford the thousand dollar 1937 first editions the slightly newer 1950 and up additions can still be had for under $10.00 on ebay. I originally picked up Think and Grow Rich while browsing the business/self improvement section in B&B. I grabbed the cheap paper back copy Well, I stumbled upon one of the greatest mindset books i've ever read. As I plan to read this again I figured I needed a proper copy to add to my list of books to reread. This was a quality purchase just like I was wanting.

It is all revelent for to day and should be taught in public schools. It would go a long ways tword giving young people direction and meaning to their lives. Not the getting rich part but the focus their energy to make their dreams a reality part.
