    Still can't believe these are plastic!

    Water inlets used to be made out of metal on this engine, but for weight savings they've changed them to plastic. Got 260,000 miles out of the first one, but when it goes it really goes (and leaves you stranded). Lots of aftermarket replacements out there, but I decided to go with the Toyota OEM just to be safe. It fits, it works, no issues.
