process of elimination
the ECM runs the car the same as the factory original. which means it works, as did the original. the car would not idle consistantly on either brain. this meant my problem was not the ECM. it turned out to be too high a viscosity oil (40 wt.) i now run 5w-30 as specified for the engine, not some high mileage oil because of the 222,000 miles on the odo. It was the heavy oil that tripped up both computers, because of a trouble code triggered on the VVT cam solenoid. modern cars with emission control. even Toyota could not diagnose it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
