Inspired by the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, Wacky Races: Crash & Dash lets players take control of classic characters like Peter Perfect, Penelope Pitstop, Professor Pat Pending, and the evil Dick Dastardly and his canine sidekick Muttley. All the vehicles are available too, so gamers can log some race time with cel-shaded reproductions of the Turbo Terrific, the Bullet Proof Bomb, the Mean Machine, the Crimson Haybailer, or the Arkansas Chuggabug.<br><br>Each course is filled with traps, but racers can grab two vehicle-specific power-ups at a time, so the Slag Brothers, for example, can get a boost from a friendly pterodactyl, turn into a boulder and crush competitors, or lob stones at fellow racers. Every character (or team) also has a unique "Way Out Wacky" power to help them speed ahead of the competition. DS controls are entirely stylus-based, and camera angles change to keep players on their toes. Meanwhile, Dick Dastardly occasionally engages racers in mini-games that can affect their placement on the course.
