Improved from previous version.
I added the OEM sill protectors to my 2nd generation Tacoma but was disappointed in that they were simply a vinyl sticker that was to be placed on the top surface only of the sill. This left the edge of the sill still exposed to being scuffed and chipped. These however, appear o little thicker than the previous versions and are wider so the roll down over the edge of the sill for about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. After seeing a video online of how they covered the vulnerable edge, I decided to order a set for my 3rd generation Tacoma. They look great and carry the black of the interior out over the sill. Just take your time in aligning them properly during installation before you start to to stick them down.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Back doors are asymmetrical, easy installation, real Toy part
Use acetone or goof-off to clean (after washing) the door sill, position and mark all door first with the backing still on the strips so that all doors are the same (there are no obvious alignments) peel and stick. They will prevent years of damage by careless guests and our own occasional boot-dragging. Real Toyota part, should last years. The rear covers are slightly curved on one of the long edges to accommodate the curve of the door sill - but don’t worry, I did both my rear doors backwards (by accident) and they still look great. Great product, easy to install.
Here are a couple notes. Make sure you, clean the area with rubbing alcohol. make sure you lay the product into place before removing the backing.. this way you can get it in place. remove the backing and you got one shot at it. lay them all in place temporarily, so you can make sure they are all even and ready to go. then one at a time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't know why these are not standard equipment on all vehicles. These fit perfectly and look the same. Poor product y as very bad quality
