Exact OEM Replacement
I have a 2007 Corvette C6 Z06. These struts are the exact OEM part. Part numbers match from the original struts that failed with the new replacement struts. Originals marked made in Germany which doesn't surprise me. New replacements work perfectly. Design of the access to the release clips to get the originals off are finicky so be patient. Just push new struts on. Support hood with broom handle. I laid mine on steering rack. Do strut mount towards engine first to clear hoses, then one towards hood. Install time 10 to 20 minutes.

The hood struts are good quality product but I think they are highly overpriced. This may be a result of what GM sells them for but someone is making a large profit.

These were exact replacements.
After 13 years the originals would not always hold up the hood. Especially when it was cold out. I have messed with aftermarket shocks in the past and was typically disappointed with the fit at the attachment points. These were exact replacements. Snapped the old ones off with a large screwdriver and installed the new one. Done in 15 minutes.
