Removed old gasket and cleaned thoroughly. I used no sealer. I pressed this gasket into place and it remained there during installation of the valve cover. This was installed on a 2005 Camry LE with the 4 cylinder engine. Used standard torquing procedure with final torque set to 69 in-lbs. No leaks after a week and a couple hundred miles.
