  • Some Drone

I bought this exhaust because it was 304 stainless and Borla states there is no drone with their exhausts. The exhaust is high quality and installed easily with one person and everything fitting as it should. Once installed, I started the car and it was LOUD. Like straight pipe loud. As soon as the exhaust warmed a bit (2 minutes), it settled down to a really nice exhaust note. This exhaust sounds awesome after warm-up EXCEPT between 2400 - 2600 rpm, where there is a loud drone under any kind of throttle or load. Disappointed because I really wanted to like this exhaust. I have contacted Borla to see if they can recommend a fix or maybe a resonator I can add to the system to alleviate this problem. It's been 2 days and I haven't heard back, yet. I'll have to drive it a while and see if I can live with it. If not, back to the stock exhaust. A little disappointed.
