Sensor threads sheared during tightening
I bought 2 of these knock sensors and one of them sheared off during tightening. Thank fully it was not in tight and I was able to back it out with a magnet. The other was tightened to the specified torque with no issues. One of the sensors was bad and I replaced that one with the one that did not shear. I still give a recommend .. The wiring harness is fine, factory harness. I even added a insulating wrap to protect it from the excessive heat build up where it is located, it corrected the check engine light, a pain to access and replace so I do not want to do again anytime soon reason for the extra layer of protection.
