I purchased a few of these Hula workouts for a change of routine and liked them so much I have redefined my workout routine altogether with better results because of these workouts. I like the Cardio Hula but especially Love this one for some reason to me it is a bit funner to do so I save both the Cardio Hula and this one to do as my last workout of the day....I do 3 exercise workout routines each day up to 4 times a week basically first thing in the morning. The first workout I do is BODY FLEX WITH GREER CHILDERS...NOT THE SHAPELY SECRETS BUT her original one. It is 20 minutes tops and you just stretch like yoga and breathe and it really warms you up for the next routine and the Hula workouts! I do this Body Flex each day 7 days for the most part. The second routine I do is IN SHAPE with Rachel McLish,World Women's Bodybuilding Champ and Ms. Olympia. I just like her arm and shoulder routine. She is really good for upper body so I only do half of her tape just for the arms...if I feel a bit more adventurous I do the whole tape for the lower body too but I have found that it makes me a bit queasy as she is a tough one on your lower half...for me anyway. The last workouts I do are the Hula workouts....Cardio Hula and this one the Abs and Buns Hula with KILI. I love these so much I save them for last PLUS they make you really sweat alot! The other 2 routines mentioned above make you feel warm and you get a nice sheen but the Hula tapes really work those hips, legs and buns and you feel it and know it when you are done! Kili is good at showing you and walking you through the moves to make it simple for even someone with 2 left feet like me. I love these tapes and am so pleased to be able to use them daily! I just wish when I lived in Hawaii when I was a teenager I would have learned more of the culture and especially the Hula dance as it is soooo sexy and a good workout! My husband just laughed when he first saw me doing the hula workouts because he is used to me working out in some form this was just fun for him. But now I see him when he does not know I do sneaking into my space and watching the hula dance tapes while I do the routines... I know he is there but he does not know I know because my back is to the door. He is not laughing anymore as I am now losing inches faster than ever and wearing my sexy nighties and clothes I only dreamed to before. I wish my girlfriends would take me seriously but they will when summer is over and they see how buff in shape my body is now and I am in my 40's! So try these workouts and you will be as amazed as I was and am but you will be sore once you begin and I say just keep it up you will get over that in no time and be on your way to a great shape in no time! I attribute my success for the most part to the Hula routines offered by Kili and you can buy all of these I mention on ebay for inexpensive price. This is for 'beginners' so I found it too slow for me. It just never got faster or better. The work out music really put me off so I just put it on 'mute' I like fast drumming island beats but this one was just 'weird' to listen to for a hula workout. And honestly, all the camera man did was just do a lot of close up of the girls bellys and thighs....repeatedly. This is suppose to be a hula workout? Yeah, right. More like a slow seductive hypnotic dance to entertain you but not train you.

I decided to get this after trying Kili's Cardio Hula DVD. The routines in the Island Girl DVDs are fun and you really feel them. In Hula Abs and Buns I sweated a lot and I could definitely feel the burn. As a bonus the arm positions really work your arms and back! Her instructions are easy to follow and you will find yourself doing the dance in no time (though a little coordination and previous dance experience doesn't hurt). You aren't really doing hula per se but you will have a good time and it's a great workout. Thumbs up from me!
I bought this DVD to begin getting back in shape. I am 53, overweight, basically just let myself go since becoming a caregiver to my aging mother.I was looking for something easy, beginner level,with a soft flow,hula came to mind. So I started looking for DVDs and picked this one. It is very nicely paced, easy to follow, love the breezy, tropical outdoor setting.I will purchase the advanced DVDs as I progress.What I love best is that I actually feel relaxed after the workout, like I've been on a mini vacation to Hawaii!
