Hopalong Cassidy was the start of the cowboy TV series. Followed by Gene Autry and them Roy Rogers. All great but hoppie started them all. Met him as a child in Libertyville, Il. at the Hawthorne Mellody Farm off rt. 21. It was a hot day to be dressed in all black but he was just as kind as in his movies and later TV shows.
