I wish I could give it more than a five rating; it's THAT good! I was so excited to learn that Sophie Kinsella had another book coming out and was lucky enough to find a copy at the library. I read this one in three days. It was phenomenal! Poor Lexi Smart, snaggletooth and unlucky in love, is hailing a taxi after her boyfriend stands her up at a disco. She has a nasty fall down some steps in the rain. When she wakes up, she is three years older and has no memory after that night in the rain. How did she get this great body? Perfect teeth? The hair? There's more. She is now Director of her department at work. She has a Mercedes. A Louis Vuitton bag. Oh, and a gorgeous, rich husband with a gorgeous, huge, enormous, intelligent/technologically advanced home. But her life isn't as picture perfect as she thought it was. Who is the mysterious stranger who keeps staring at her? Why won't her childhood friend and co-workers speak to her? What has happened?? You journey with Lexi to find out the going-ons of her missing years. You really won't want to put it down and will die laughing when you find out what Mont Blanc is! RUN to the library or bookstore if you haven't read this yet and you're a Kinsella fan!Read full review
Lexi wakes up in the hospital after a car accident and has lost her memory and 3 years of her life. She isn't the same person she remembers. Her teeth are now straight and she is married to a rich and hunky man. She also learns that she heads the department that she use to work in, and all the old friends she once had....hate her! What happened in three years that turned her into the wicked witch? Lexi has to go backwards to figure things out and this will cause you to laugh out loud!. Very funny book.....just like her "Shopaholic" ones.
I read the book review for Sophie Kinsella's book in the las Vegas Journal. I enjoy mysteries and the subject interested me. I have never read anything by theis author and enjoy reading new authors. The subject of amnesia interests me so this book offers several area of interest to me. I have not read it yet. I am looking forward to a warm day in the sun here in AZ to read it.
