I was looking for a reading comprehension workbook for my son who is homeschooled. I liked the non-fiction subjects in this book. Also, each story had a nice picture, but it wasn't cluttered. The format for the book was not distracting for my son, which is a problem for him. I liked the variety of questions after each reading which help with vocabulary, reasoning, definitions, and more. Each lesson consists of one page of reading and one page of questions. It isn't a complete language curriculum, but is instead specific to reading comprehension. I have found it to be a helpful supplement to our language curriculum.
