The text is easy to read, provides numerous examples, and is very affordable., The author's style is engaging and friendly, detailed, helped [my students and me] have a beneficial discussion about anxiety and speaking., I think what distinguishes it is the emphasis on the speaking process. This process is threaded throughout the text so the student is always reminded of how what is being covered relates to the process. Also, I have not seen the quick-start guide anywhere [else]. This is a great feature which I emphasize in class.
