Superb, the movie was beautiful but the book far outweighs the movie. It will make you laugh and cry at the same time. I had my own black labrador, Lacey, for 13 years who was a fantastic dog all throughout her life. Now our family has a 2 year old Chocolate Labrador "Buster" who is a wonderful example of Marley. If you love Labradors or just dogs in general, you will love this book. John and Jenny Grogan, I thank you for the wonderful stories about Marley and your own family you have shared. I'am now reading your book to my 5 year old son. We are reading small parts at night for bedtime and he loves it. All I can say is EXCELLENT!!!!
As an animal lover, I found Marley and Me a wonderful true story. I first saw the movie. At it's end, my tears turned to sobbing for a period of time. Cats are my choice, as I live in an apartment. Over the years, I've had 4, one at a time. Each time one is sick and will not recover, the only kind option is to have the poor thing put to sleep. Rach time, this happens, it breaks my heart! Marley. being a hyper active beautiful dog. was loved by his family. As he aged, he became ill, having no possibility fo recovering. A wonderful story, with a sad, ending. Pets make wonderful companions. All they want is unconditional love.
it was an excellent book, I really liked it!!!I decided to buy it so that it could help me on the first person telling his story, I loved the movie and was told that the book was even better, I am in the process of writing my own book about an important event that happened in my life and his voice in his story I was using to give me an idea on how to use my own voice in my story. I loved it and it helped me out a lot.

Having a lab this book is everyone that has a lab book.I enjoyed reading about the patients needed to raise a lab and puppy. Plus showing how much enjoyment a dog can bring to a family with its good and bad points.It is a little drawn out about having the baby but I did like the book be ready to have happy moments and sad. I am telling others about the book and give it a thumbs up.
