The Canon PIXMA iP6700D Photo printer I purchase in September is very good. It arrived on-tone as promised and it is working nicely. When I printed photos they came out very clear. The only draw back are: 1) you forgot to send me the installation disk. Luckily, I have one on hand from my old printer. 2) some spots of ink around the edge of the page (not on the photos). Thank you.

The control panel never work. The printer was throwing error messages. Replace the print heads and ink cartridges 3 times. Not a fan.

I had a Canon PIXMA iP6700D Inkjet Printer for about a year when I accidentally dropped it and broke the loading tray. Rather than buy a new printer, I decided to try a refirbished one which is much cheaper. To my surprise, it was every bit as good as my old one. I gave it a thourough examination, but couldn't find any trace of it being previously used. It works great, and has a new printer guarantee. My only disappointment was that It didn't come with the extra receiving tray that the old one has, but I can use the old one on this printer if needed. There were no ink cartridges included, but it had a brand new printhead, which means more to me than the ink. I have changed my mind about refirbished products, as long as they are refirbished by the manufacturer. If you are in the market for a photo quality printer, this is the one to buy. Photo printing is superb.Read full review
It is my opinion that the Pixma IP6700D printer is excellent printer for the money. I had a Canon i960 printer for the longest time and then it finally died. (the i960 printer was used commercially, printing photos non-stop for hours at a time) I looked at the new Canon photo printers, but it seems that the trend is the "all-in-one" printers with the scanner, fax etc. Well I wanted a photo printer! My old i960 used 6 color inks and it seemed like a downgrade to go to only 4 color inks found in all the "all-in-ones" printers. In fact, the only current models of photo printer by Canon (that uses 6 or 8 ink colors) are their pro line which was out of my price range. Once I saw the IP6700d had the 6 ink colors, I thought it would be at least at good as my old i960. I was right! the printer delivers excellent photos prints and print them fast. I am a Professional Photographer and I like to edit my photos in Adobe Lightroom before they hit the printer, so I don't use the built in card reader, but would be great for someone who wants to print photos right out of the camera. I love the bottom tray to put my photo paper in so it does not get dust on it. Overall I give this printer the highest rating.Read full review
This photo printer is awsome. Seperate paper trays for differant size photos so you don't need to change and adjust the tray or settings (just push a button on the printer for the size you want to print ). Also has memory card slots and a color monitor so you don't have to use your computer if you don't want to. I also printed an 8 X 10 on this printer and took the same memory card to Walgreens and had them print the same picture. The Canon print was more vivid and crisp than the Walgreen print. I love this thing!
