I bought this printer/scanner for my wife and so far she loves it. The print quality is very good and it has an easy to use interface. Data slots for various formats (including SD, memorystick, USB and compact flash). The scanner and applicable software is very easy to use for photo or text. My only complaints are that the printer is quite loud and disapointed that it did not come with blue tooth connectivity as a standard. Kodak is asking for an additional $100 for the bluetooth adapter (other brands such as HP include this feature as a standard).
I really like this printer. It is easy to use, has excellent picture quality, and the ink is very cheap compared to the dell we were using. Ink can be bought straight from kodak for $10 black and $15 color per cartridge, much more affordable for our budget. It has an area just for the 4x6 picture paper, and they turn out as good as the pictures we developed at walgreens. I also love the fact I can print straight from our SD cards to the printer with the sd card reader on the face of the machine, you dont even have to turn your computer on! All in all, we are very happy with this product, it even came with a one year warranty straight from kodak, but still with the Ebay price tag. I would recommend this printer to anyone that is currently unhappy with their ink prices, as well as those that need a simple to work machine.Read full review
The advertising promised cheap ink, I decided that this was the printer to have, my HP had expensive ink. Fast forward 10 weeks. I have just went back the store for the third time with my Kodak 5300 all in one printer, they are out of stock because of the great price and cheaper ink. If you buy the printer it is a must to have an extended warranty. I am on my third printer because of inkhead problems. The ink cartridges set in a tray called the inkhead, this has to be cleaned after every 6 or 8-- 4 x 6 photos printed. You go to the menu for "Basic Clean" or "Deep Clean" follow the prompts, then you have to print demo page to make sure the ink is working. When the machine was working the photos were excellent quality, but when the inkhead is shot it is a huge headache. If you buy this printer be prepared for problems, it's a bonus if you don't have any problems. I not a newbie with printers or computer, good luck to the people who rec'd this as a gift, there is a reason that the price dropped 50.00 dollars. I would not buy this product again, but because husband paid for a three yr extended warranty I will be able to use the Lemon Law the fourth time something doesn't work in tha 5300 kodak all in one printer.Read full review
Every once and a while a company comes out with a product that changes the way you think about things. I found this especially true with teh Kodak AiO 5000 series printers. Kodak says it best "BOOYAH"!! Having a photo studio and doing all my own printing, I am quite used to Kodak products. All I owned were Kodak dye sublimation professional printers. Ink Jet....too consumer!! UNTIL I saw the 5000 series in action! I now own 2 of them in my studio! Using the Kodak semi gloss paper, I defy "average Joe" (or even sophisticated Joe's and Jane"s) to tell the difference between a lab print and that of the 5000 series inkjet. I have also seen where they got the motto "Pricey Ink STINKS" Buying the color ink cartridge is painless and you have to work very hard to run them dry, even at "best" quality. Want to copy a picture? The integrated flatbed scanner, I have found, in most cases, gives you a better copy than the original! And with a seperate black cartridge under $10.00, you won't be running out to photocopy those important papers and tax documents either. Kodak has really blown the doors off the competition in the home printing market. (Come on professionals, give it a try, I DARE you!!)Read full review
I bought this Kodak Easyshare Printer about 6 weeks ago and I just love it. I was in the market for a new printer anyway, and this one has all the features that I was looking for like: printing, copying, scanning and especially picture making. The best part was that the eBay price was much less than the manufacturer's retail. I have enjoyed the quality of the printed documents as well as the ability to view, crop and print photos directly from my camera card without the use of my computer connection. Also the cost of the ink is much less than my old HP Printer and you get more higher quality prints per ink cartridge, just as advertised by the manufacturer. The only things I dislike are that document printing is a bit slow and there aren't as many creative products that I can print at home, as was available with my HP product. I still recommend this product highly, if you like printing your own photos or documents that include photos!Read full review
