The filament of both bulbs purchased are not aligned properly. One bulb was worse than the other. Neither made it easy view the fundus adequately. The glare when trying to use the polarizing filter was AWFUL removing the filter on one bulb made barely viewable but there was still a shadow within the beam. This is the 1st non Welch Allen product I have ever used. So the addage something inexpensive seems to be " To good to be True " is accurate. I will stick the much more expensive Welch Allen product. Because you truly get optical quality wise what you pay for. I have replaced a Bulb every 3-4 years for 28 years.

Quality of bulbs 04900 REPLACEMENT LIGHT BULBS FOR WELCH ALLYN Ophthalmoscope, I bought, is VERY BAD. First, 8 out of 10 don't fit (not fit) into the hole of ophthalmoscopes (tested on several ophthalmoscopes), and secondly - if a bulb is fitted, the light covers only half of the Ophthalmoscope field (see foto), in the third - they do not like on the photo, no plastic base, lamp body made of metal. I am deeply disappointed and upset.
