This is Coheed and Cambria's fourth record, and again it's sublime. How does Claudio Sanchez keep such amazing high standards? This is the fourth part of the story of The Amory Wars (which is far too complex to go into here!)and dovetails perfectly in style and accessibility with the other three records. Coheed's great strength is that although every song (and indeed every record) is part of a huge story, it is just as easy to dip in and out and simply enjoy great rock songs.
This is part two of the third installment in their on-going conceptual saga. Sounds complicated??, Well it could be if you delve too deeply into the story line,to try and make sense of it all. Instead take a step back and just listen to the music. This album is far more accessible than it`s predecessors and most songs do actually have "middle eight" and guitar bridge sections. Alot of tracks from their earlier work lacked this structure. If you want modern prog rock with a slightly heavier sound, then this album is for you, If you are after slower more melodic work, then look elsewhere.
