The recipes are easy, simple, and do not have a 24 list of ingredients that you may use 1 time !!!! Trisha's recipes are appealing to the everyday cook, and family friendly. It's down home cooking at it's BEST!! Trisha's happy personality comes through her recipes, and it's like sharing recipes with my sisters. I would recommend her cookbooks & recipes to anyone, without hesitation !! you will not be disappointed !! I intend to add all her cookbooks to my cookbook collection.

I just received this recently, so I've only had the chance to try one recipe in here; the Sausage Breakfast Casserole, and it is not only inexpensive to make~which is most important during this economic crisis we're facing, but it also serves a lot~also vitally important. You get a lot for your buck with this recipe and this book, which I highly recommend. I gave away the Joy of Cooking; Rachel Ray; and other cook books I've either received as gifts, or purchased, myself, over the years. This is one I will keep and pass down to my grandchildren, and hopefully, you will too! Happy cooking!
Received this from my husband as a Christmas gift. The recipes do not require ingredients that you do not normally have on hand and the directions are very easy to follow. Everything that I have tried has been delicious and will most definitely be a "keeper". This is my first Tricia Yearwood cookbook and I am looking forward to obtaining the others. I love it. Someone who thinks like me in the kitchen. Not only are the recipes family friendly, the stories and the wonderful memories are just what I am always looking for in cookbooks. I want to know where the idea or the recipes come from and this cookbook is my idea of perfect. The photography is beautiful and it will make a wonderful gift. I am collecting stories and recipes for a wedding gift next June and Trisha has given me some great ideas. I am a pretty good cook but have never been able to master spare ribs. I have to say it was easy and they turned out fabulous. You won't be disappointed with any part of the book. I suggest you buy two. One for you, and one for a gift.
I had seen Trisha Yearwood cooking on a talk show and immediately knew her book would have some of the recipes I never had but always wanted. My Mom and Grandmothers didn't write down some of the treasures that Trisha has in her book! Know I will enjoy this cookbook for many years to come.
