This is volume one in a series of modeling guides for the beginner and advanced modeler published by Osprey. This volume covers the basics of aircraft modeling. It begins with some information on scales, then proceeds to the step by step construction of a Roland C.II First World War aircraft. The book continues along with the construction of a jet fighter and a World War Two fighter plane. During this journey you are introduced to brush painting techniques, airbrushing and the coloring of aircraft with inks. I have not covered everything in this book, but recommend it for the beginning modeler and the more advanced devotee as the items laid out here are instructive to anyone interested in the hobby.
.good info for first timers.a lot of general info.you will need to know.I liked the clear canopy illasrtation. I bought this as a novice builder and my fustration when trying to build a moldel with poor results motivated me to purchase the book..I have since read two others and feel that this book is a must as a starter, it will give you a lot of things to think about.
